Michael Family Restaurant Group

The Michael Family Restaurant Group currently consists of 3 new restaurants all in the greater Piedmont Triad area of Winston Salem, North Carolina. Mama Zoe Michael’s and Waldo’s Wings Burgers & Brews, are both located in the same shopping center; Pine Ridge Plaza on Reynolda Road. Our newest pristine restaurant, Cin Cin Burger Bar, is located on First Street, downtown in the area of Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.

Christakis (Chris) Zenonos Michael was born and raised in Nicosia, Cyprus the third largest island in the Mediterranean. Chris’s parents had an interesting occupation; they operated the “Lesxi”, the prestigious and elite social club of Nicosia. Chris spent all his youth satisfying, charming, entertaining and gratifying the members of the club. These roots of servitude deep seated his passion and love for the hospitality industry.

Zoe Rizos Michael was born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, a small town located 30 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. Zoe’s parents also had an interesting occupation; they owned Christy’s Family Restaurant in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. Christy’s was not your ordinary restaurant, it was a high volume, dynamic, from-scratch-food-producing, multitude feeding institution. Everything was homemade’ meringue cream pies, fruit pies, bread rolls, jello, gravies, stuffed pork chops, ham loaf, meat loaves and all the good tasting homemade country foods imaginable. To this day, 47 years later, owned by her brother, the restaurant is still operating and serving customers daily. Zoe graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a double major, BS degree in Business Administration and a degree in Foodservice Management.

In 1984, Chris and Zoe married and commenced the beginning of The Michael Family Restaurant Group. The restaurant group was first established in Fort Myers, Florida where together they created, owned and operated 5 restaurant and a real estate office. In 2007 the Michael family relocated to North Carolina to survive the real estate, market and economy crash.
